About Cheryl Maday

With over 20 years of experience as a copywriter and editorial director, I’ve shaped the voice and tone of global retail, fashion, and beauty brands like Sephora, Banana Republic, and Quince. I also write the long-running blog Cheryl Shops and its newer Substack offshoot, and in 2024 co-wrote the interior design book Live Natural with Ali Davin of Jute Interior Design. 

A proud San Francisco resident (and former New Yorker), I love food, travel, and music. You can find me enjoying a glass of wine outside at a Sonoma vineyard, sweating it out in my favorite pilates class, or taking a long, meandering walk through the city—that’s how I get some of my best ideas.
